Jonathan McCartney practices in the areas of public utility and regulatory law, oil and gas law, railroad defense litigation and employment law. He joined the firm in 2008 after serving for a year as a law clerk to Judge Scott Crichton and Judge Jeanette Garrett of the First Judicial District Court of Louisiana. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas with honors. Mr. McCartney received his law degree from Louisiana State University, where he was an officer on the Moot Court Board, a member of the nationally ranked Tax law and Environmental law moot court teams and winner of the Ira S. Flory Trial Competition. He was also a national debate finalist, while serving as a debate coach and president of the University of Texas Debate Team.
